  • Evolved a comprehensive legislative and action program that bonds the Federal business promotion programs together providing an improved package of support services, as well as both reaching back to local businesses through state and trade association programs and overseas to better define U.S. business opportunities.

  • Developed new U.S. economic assistance program focused on improved trade and investment activities for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations consisting of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Brunei.

  • Performed comprehensive review of U.S. economic assistance program to Indonesia (28 projects, $490 million) identifying causes for delays in program implementation and worked with Mission to overcome shortcomings in program design and management.

  • Worked closely with Philippine governors and mayors on the design/ management of over 3,000 economic development projects with a value of $210 million.

  • Through close working relations developed with Sri Lanka public and private sectors, evolved a new mutual private enterprise development program that focused on an improved investment climate by specific government policy reforms and expanded investment in industries yielding better returns to the country.
